Baptist Church
We are a conservative, independent Baptist Church, a body of believers of like precious faith banded together to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in traditional services. Our family consists of seasoned servants as well as some who are more recent converts, young couples, singles and Bible college students, and those who have served many years on foreign mission fields.
Our music is the sacred hymns of the faith and God-honoring songs that in themselves give forth the Gospel as well contributing to our worship. We enjoy the talents of our members in singing and playing various instruments, including the organ, piano, violin, accordion, guitar, saxophone, and even occasionally the banjo.
Associate Pastor Dr. Mike Evans hails from Midland, Texas. His B.A. degree is from ABC, with post grad work done at Midland College and Bethany Baptist College in Oklahoma and his Doctor of Theology was earned at Calvary Baptist College in Melbourne, Florida.
Dr. Evans was the Associate Pastor at Orlando Baptist Temple in Orlando, Florida and also at University Heights Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. He pastored in Clyde, Texas at Bible Baptist Church, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Crane, Texas and at Temple Baptist Church in Fort Worth. A sought-after evangelist, Bro. Evans is Vice-President in charge of Alumni Development at the Arlington Baptist College. He holds the office of chairman of the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Board.
Mike Evans
Co-founder of New Testament Baptist Church, Dr. Evans and his wife, Sue, are welcome assets to the church. They have a daughter, Amy, and a son, David, and four grandchildren.
